I’m Conrad Weaver.
For more than two decades, I’ve used storytelling to explore the people, challenges, and ideas that matter.
Today, much of my work is focused on helping first responder leaders lead better, live healthier, and build stronger teams—while continuing to tell stories through films, podcasts, books, and speaking.
My work has taken me behind a camera, onto stages, inside police and fire departments, across the country on a bicycle, and into hundreds of conversations with extraordinary people. Through all of it, one thing has remained constant: I believe stories can change the way we see ourselves, the way we lead others, and what we believe is possible.
1Leader
Leadership is difficult in any profession. In public safety, the stakes are even higher.
I work with chiefs, command staff, supervisors, and emerging leaders to develop healthier leaders who can communicate effectively, build trust, navigate difficult situations, and create organizations where people can thrive.
2Storyteller
I’ve spent much of my career telling stories about real people navigating extraordinary circumstances.
From America’s custom wheat harvesters to communities battling addiction to first responders confronting trauma, my films have allowed me to listen to people at some of the most important moments of their lives.
Those stories have changed audiences. They’ve also changed me.
3Adventurer
In 2023, my friend John and I rode bicycles across America. Sixty-five days. Approximately 3,500 miles. Pacific Ocean to Atlantic Ocean.
We crossed mountains, deserts, plains, and more than a few storms.
That journey became my book, Into the Storm—and taught me lessons about adversity, friendship, faith, perseverance, leadership, and the courage to ask for help.
Public safety leaders carry an extraordinary responsibility.
They’re expected to make difficult decisions, develop people, manage conflict, navigate change, protect their communities, and maintain the trust of the people they lead.
And they’re expected to do all of that while managing the pressures of the profession in their own lives.
After producing PTSD911, interviewing hundreds of first responders and subject-matter experts, and working with agencies across the country, I’ve become convinced of something:
If we want healthier first responders, we need healthier leaders.
That’s why much of my work today is focused on developing leaders who can lead themselves well, lead their people effectively, and build healthy organizational cultures.
Keynote Speaking
I bring a filmmaker’s storytelling approach to the stage and combine it with practical leadership principles audiences can put to work immediately.
Whether I’m speaking about leadership, wellness, resilience, culture, or riding a bicycle across America, my goal isn’t simply to inspire people. I want to help them take action.
Leadership Development
Leadership development shouldn’t stop when someone receives a promotion.
I work with law enforcement, fire, EMS, 9-1-1, corrections, and other public safety organizations to develop customized leadership experiences for their people.
Programs can include workshops, command staff retreats, Mastermind groups, coaching, leadership assessments, and ongoing leadership development.
Wellness + Culture
You can’t separate leadership from wellness.
Leaders shape whether people feel safe asking for help, whether teams trust one another, and whether wellness becomes part of the culture—or simply another program.
Through leadership training, facilitated conversations, and PTSD911, I help organizations begin conversations that can lead to meaningful cultural change.

In May 2023, my friend John and I dipped our bicycle tires into the Pacific Ocean and started riding east.
Sixty-five days later, we reached the Atlantic.
Pacific — Yellowstone — Wyoming — Great Plains — Appalachians — Atlantic
Between those two oceans came mountains, headwinds, exhaustion, breathtaking landscapes, incredible people—and one massive Wyoming storm that forced us to confront a simple decision:
Call for help, or keep pedaling.
Into the Storm is about much more than riding a bicycle across America. It’s about the storms all of us face. The people who travel beside us. The limits we discover. And the courage it sometimes takes to admit we can’t make the journey alone.
Mile Zero — the Pacific Ocean send-off
Riding into Emmitsburg, Maryland.
Some of the most important lessons I’ve learned have come from conversations. My podcasts give me the opportunity to sit down with leaders, first responders, clinicians, researchers, authors, and people who have learned important lessons through experience.
Conversations about what it really takes to lead when the stakes are high.
Leadership. Culture. Trust. Difficult decisions. Wellness. Failure. Growth.
Honest conversations about mental health, trauma, resilience, recovery, leadership, and the health of those who serve our communities.
Maybe you’re planning a conference. Maybe your agency needs stronger leadership development. Maybe you’re trying to change the conversation around wellness. Or maybe you’re simply looking for someone who can tell a story your audience won’t forget.
I’d love to hear what you’re working on.
