Into the Storm
65 days. 3,500 miles. And what the road taught me about life.
A coast-to-coast cycling memoir about resilience, first responders, friendship, and finding the strength to keep moving when the road gets hard.
A Story About What Keeps Us Moving.
In 2023, Conrad Weaver got on a bicycle with a tent, a camera, and a question he couldn’t shake: what does it actually take to keep going when things get hard? Sixty-five days and 3,500 miles later, he had an answer — and a book.
Into the Storm follows Conrad’s solo-and-not-quite-solo ride from the Pacific coast to the Atlantic, pedaling through mountain passes, open plains, and more than a few actual storms. Along the way, he stopped at fire stations and police departments across the country, trading stories with the first responders who inspired the trip in the first place — and found that the road taught him as much about leadership and resilience as a decade of filmmaking ever had.
Part travel memoir, part meditation on grit, Into the Storm is for anyone who has ever had to decide whether to call for help or keep pedaling.
